This policy covers the Galea app and this website, galeaauto.com. It explains what we collect and why.
The Galea app
The app is currently a demonstration. Sensors, alerts and threat escalations shown in it are simulated; it does not monitor a real vehicle.
- An anonymous ID. When you open the app it creates an anonymous account for you. You are never asked for your name, email address or a password. The ID is random and is not linked to your identity.
- The demo data you create. Your escalation profiles, simulated events and settings are stored against that anonymous ID so the app remembers them between sessions.
This website
- Your email address, if you join the waitlist. We use it only to tell you when Galea launches and about the product. We never sell it or share it with advertisers.
- The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers.
What we do not collect
- No payment details.
- No real-time location of your phone.
- No advertising or tracking identifiers. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- No contacts, photos, microphone or camera data.
Where the data is stored
On Supabase, a hosted database service. App data is protected by row-level security, so each anonymous account can only read and write its own records. The waitlist can only be added to from the website; it cannot be read by visitors.
Deleting your data
Delete the app to stop using it. To have your app data or your waitlist email removed, email us at the address below and we will delete it.
Children
Galea is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
